I recently had encounter with a major corporation (lets just say that they sell allot of books) saying the domain name I bought at auction was trademarked. I told them that I bought it and was going to use it for a DJ site or environmental site. They kept sending me emails and I finally told them to send me the cost of domain and a transfer fee. I really had no interest in the domain and decided to fold my cards so to speak. I charged them a transfer fee and used Escrow.com for the transfer. All went smoothly and I still made money on the domain name. I don’t put all my eggs in one basket by just buying poker domains. I own hundreds of non-poker domains and sell them all the time. This is not the first time I’ve been threatened by lawyers, and won’t be the last. I intend to defend my freedoms to the fullest degree.
