Poker Affiliate conversions
Full Tilt poker affiliate department has a new rule as of 2 months ago that they will take away your players if they do not deposit before 60 days after they sign up under your affiliate tracker or bonus code. This is really bad for the poker affiliate business. It is not fair that we work so hard to get people to sign up to their site, and they make millions. Full Tilt Poker has been really good to me, so it’s hard for me to write this, but I feel I have to report poker affiliate news to my readers and people who want to make living online.
That being said, I had to rethink my past poker conversions, and look to see if players who used to generate
rake are still playing. I did a little test on my past poker affiliate conversion, I sent them free money to see if they were still there or if poker rakeback poachers stole them. In some cases I heard Full Tilt poker was sending them emails to join rakeback sites. So I sent 11 players 5$ each to see if they would start playing again. Here are the results:
Player x 1 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 2 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 3 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 4 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 5 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 6 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 7 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 8 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 9 - Played 0 raked hands
Player x 10 - generated $152.00 in rake
Player x 11 - generated $ 42.00 in rake
Total money sent - $55.00
Total Rake generated - $194.00
Rake Commission - $58.20
Rake paid to my conversions $52.38
My income after paying rakeback - $5.82
Loss from test - $49.18 (if they all never play again)
My conclusion was that the people who signed up under me for rakeback from my one rakeback site came back and played. On the other hand, my non-rakeback players who signed up via poker bonus codes or myspace did not play, and may not even have same email or are playing under different name.
If they are playing under different name, they were most likely stolen by rakeback poachers.
It is my conclusion that I should diversify what sites I promote. I have to spread myself out more.
I have also concluded that I need to become more personal with my sign ups by asking them to email me or skype me to let me help them sign up! This way I get their email and name, and I can send them to other sites as I do promotions.
