When I say “Poker Site” I mean a poker portal, poker blog, poker directory, poker video site, or along those lines. I don’t mean poker room, those cost from 100k and up to create from scratch. You can join a network for much less, lets say 10k, and they handle all the customer support.

A poker blog can be created for free using blogger.com, myspace.com, or Facebook. The best thing to do is start a poker blog on Wordpress, like this site uses. Hosting will start at $3.00 /month. This is a cheap way to get into promoting poker and poker website creation.

Another cheap way is like my site Pokervideotube.com. This site runs on Joomla and also costs nothing. I paid $200.00 for a few things done to it, but I can’t get used to Joomla CMS (content management system),
so I’m going to sell it soon.

If you want to create a site like Youtube.com but for poker, I can do that for you. The cost would be upwards of 5k with logo and I would charge for customer service after site is up. To go out and start a hot dog cart would cost more. Why not spend 5k on something you may sell for 50k in 3 years? You may
not make money and still sell it for what you paid for it. So the risk compared to reward is little. I offer no guarantees you will make money, and have lost money on sites in the past.
