Beatthefish.com is a great example of a poker portal. This site is meant to represent as many poker sites as it can, instead of just focusing on one or two. Beatthefish.com has poker reviews, bonus codes, player bios, and a poker forum to attract new players. One of it’s goals is to attract players from the US that are looking for poker rooms that still accommodates USA players. There are lots of new players who want to play that are from the USA, this site is great for them because it tells them which sites are still legal poker sites and US Friendly Poker Sites.

I really like the the effect the logo gives, but I think it can be improved upon down the road. It’s better he spends his time creating or buying articles rather than paying for cool logos that can cost up to $1500.00. I do think the site could use more of a “web 2.0″ feel. This can be done by
using a site like this click here.
This is my favorite feature of Beatthefish.com. Take a look at their PKR review, I love the way they did this and hope to do something similar on my sites:
I’m very impressed with his site reviews and overall list of online poker rooms, but I do think he should do something to spice the site up. Perhaps a Youtube
video section or some sort of video widget to grab the attention of web surfers.
